Then we weigh anchor and the sails go up for an exhilarating after dinner sailing experience while watching the fairy-tale lights of Auckland city pass by!

Even if you have never sailed before by the time you hop off NZL 40 or NZL 41 you will be an expert guaranteed!

1) 2 Hour Sailing Experience NZ$125
Your two hour sailing experience starts in the Viaduct Harbour where you meet the professional crew and are taken through a short safety briefing. The yacht then heads out of the America’s Cup Village past the syndicates and Super yachts. The sails are hoisted and passengers become the crew, encouraged to take the helm, exert energy on the grinders or simply sit back and enjoy the action as we sail down the beautiful Auckland Harbour.
Experience is not required and the trip is suitable for everyone from 10 years and over.

2) 3 Hour Match Racing NZ$195
NZL 40 now has a racing partner NZL 41. Now not only can you experience the thrill of sailing an America’s Cup Yacht, you can participate in racing on one. An activity which in the past has been reserved for only the most elite professional yacht racers is now available to everyone keen to take up the challenge.

Your three hour experience begins in the Viaduct Harbour where you will meet our professional crew and taken through the safety and race briefing. The yachts will then depart through the America’s Cup Village and head out past the Syndicate bases and Super yachts where passengers will take their positions for a brief period of practice. The experience then really begins as the two Yachts line up under international match racing pre-start conditions, just like in the America’s Cup and compete head to head. Passengers will be involved in the racing, calling tactics, grinding, and even protesting the offending yacht!

The trip is suitable for people 10 years and older from all experiences and abilities. Participation is encouraged but not a requirement. A tender will be on the race course following the races ensuring the rules are being observed and is available for a limited number of passengers who don’t want to participate but still want to be involved in the action.
